Für Tobias Dauenhauer (D) ging in Vallelunga (Rom-Italien) die erfolgreiche EuroNASCAR Saison 2021 mit 5 Siegen und 7 Poleposition zu Ende!
Es war für Tobias Dauenhauer (23) die erfolgreichste Motorsportsaison seiner kometenhaften Karriere. In 6 Länder ging die EuroNASCAR an den Start. In Spanien, Großbritannien, Tschechien, Kroatien, Belgien und Italien konnte der junge Deutsche mit seinem 420 PS starken #50 MOMO Ford Mustang des holländischen Hendriks Motorsportteam insgesamt 5 Siege einfahren. 7-mal stand er auf Poleposition, und damit auf Startplatz 1. Dazu kamen 9 Top 5 Ergebnisse und 10-mal kam er unter die besten 10 ins Ziel. Eine beeindruckende Leistung!
„Es war für mich die bisher beste Motorsportsaison“, freute sich Tobias Dauenhauer beim letzten EuroNASCAR Rennen im italienischen Vallelunga (I), nur 30 km von Rom entfernt.
Schon 2020 machte er mit 3 Siege und 4 Poleposition in der hart umkämpften EuroNASCAR auf sich aufmerksam. Nur knapp verfehlte er das Championat und wurde auf Anhieb Vizechampion. Er war bis dahin der erste Deutsche, der überhaupt ein NASCAR Rennen gewinnen konnte.
Für 2022 möchte er bei der EuroNASCAR in die PRO Klasse wechseln, wo sein Teamkollege Loris Hezemans (NL) mit seinem #7 MOMO Ford Mustang 2021 der neue Champion wurde.
Tobias Dauenhauer, kam wie Michael Schumacher und Sebastian Vettel, erfolgreich aus der Kart Sport Szene, ehe er mit Erfolg in den Tourenwagen- und GT Sport wechselte.
„Auch heute starte ich noch ab und zu bei Kart-Rennen, es ist die beste Schule, um im harten ‚Profi Motorsport‘ zu bestehen", ist er sich sicher.
Tobias Dauenhauer hat ein klares Ziel vor Augen, die NASCAR USA, die in den Staaten populärer ist als die Formel 1. Es werden dort Preisgelder von über 100.000.000 Dollar ausgeschüttet. Bis zu 300.000 Zuschauer an den Rennstrecken und über 20 Millionen TV Zuschauer verfolgen die größte Motorsportserie in Amerika.
„Da Toine Hezemans, mein Team Boss 2020/2021 bei Hendriks Motorsport, 2022 mit seinem neuen, eigenen, 'HEZEBERG NASCAR Team' in den USA an den Start gehen wird, will er mir die Chance geben 2023 dort auch zu starten, dafür werde ich 2022 bei der EuroNASCAR alles geben"!
Mit Platz 2 im EuroNASCAR Championat 2021 konnte Tobias Dauenhauer seinen Erfolg aus 2020 als erneuter Vizechampion bestätigen.

For Tobias Dauenhauer (D), the successful 2021 EuroNASCAR season with 5 wins and 7 pole positions came to an end at (Rome-Italy)
For Tobias Dauenhauer (23), it was the most successful motorsport season in his rocket-like career to date. EuroNASCAR staged its races in six different countries. In Spain, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Belgium and Italy, the young German was able to rack up five victories with his 420 hp strong #50 MOMO Ford Mustang, run by Dutch team, Hendriks Motorsport. He claimed pole position, or first place on the grid, seven times. On top of that, he scored nine top 5 results and he finished among the ten best drivers a total of ten times. An impressive achievement!
“For me, it was my best season in motorsport so far,” a delighted Tobias Dauenhauer said during the final EuroNASCAR round held at Vallelunga in Italy, only 30 kilometres outside of Rome.
In 2020, he had already caught the attention with three race wins and four pole positions in the hard-fought EuroNASCAR series. He only just missed out on the championship title and became runner-up right away. Prior to that, he had already become the first-ever German to win a NASCAR race.
For 2022, his aim is to graduate to the PRO class in EuroNASCAR competition where his teammate Loris Hezemans (NL) was crowned the 2021 champion with his #7 MOMO Ford Mustang.
Like Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel, Tobias Dauenhauer was successful in karting prior to successfully making the switch to touring car and GT racing.
“Even today, I am still occasionally participating in kart races. It is the best training to stand in the tough environment of professional motorsport,” he is convinced.
For Tobias Dauenhauer, his goal is clear: NASCAR USA, which is more popular than Formula 1 over in the US. There, prize money of over 100,000,000 Dollar is at stake. Up to 300,000 spectators at the race tracks and over 20 million viewers on TV are watching the biggest motorsport series in the US.
“As Toine Hezemans, my team boss at Hendriks Motorsport’s in 2020 and 2021, will be running in the US with his own new HEZEBERG NASCAR Team in 2022, he wants to give me the chance to race there in 2023 as well. To do so, I will be doing my utmost in EuroNASCAR in 2022!”
With second place in the final standings of the 2021 EuroNASCAR series, Tobias Dauenhauer was able to confirm his success from 2020 as the repeated runner-up.
